I have been to several stylists around Memphis, and I just couldn't find what I was looking for. I want my hair color to look natural, glossy and complement my skin tone. I could not get any other stylist in Memphis to understand that. I searched for a new stylist with certification in hair color, and I found Ted. I have been going to see him for almost 2 years, and absolutely love the color of my hair. I have been lighter and darker, and both ways looked exceptional with my skin, Ted is a pro, and I have absolute faith in his work with color. If you want a natural looking hair color, that is shiny and makes your skin and eyes stand out, Ted is definitely who you need to go see. I have read what some of the others have written and completely disagree. What may come across to some people as ego, or not doing what you asked, is really experience talking. Sometimes you have to go through a couple different steps to get the perfect end result. Ted knows color, and knows the best way to get you where you want to be, you just need to have faith.

I live in Jackson TN. I'v been looking for years for the "best" place to get my hair done (color and cut) for a couple of years. My search is over !! Ted rocks! I look younger, more natural, more current than ever before. I'm now driving an hour and a half one way to get my hair done. Thing is .... i'd drive twice that to get to Ted. Ted at DiVa Colour studio is the best I have found in Memphis. I have been colouring my hair for years and always end up white or Red could never get blond without red. My hair was burnt on the ends really bad. I went to Ted about 6 months ago and have been extremley pleased. My hair is healthier than it has been in a very long time. I have never had to wait I have always received service as soon as I get to the Salon which is very important to me. I usually go on my lunch hour and I get in and out very fast. Ted is the best at colour that I have found.

I had heard good things from others about this salon when I moved to the Memphis area. I have consistently gone every 5-6 weeks for almost a year now....and everytime I am so happy to have found this salon and its excellent staff. Ted is the one who colors my hair and styles it, but I have watched Cindy do her magic too! Hope also is an excellent assistant in the shop who is very upbeat and friendly while working very hard. You know it is a good color and style shop when you receive compliments on your hair and this happens frequently. My hair is soft and very shiny. Ted listens to my comments and works with me. The color looks natural, and if it wasn't for the greys that pop out every 5-6 weeks I think everyone could think it was my natural color. I can highly recommend DIVA. I look forward to my appointment each and every time! I have watched one lady who had a harsh color of hair truly look years younger when they had corrected her previous color, and another young girl who had dyed her own hair various colors go out looking a natural color of shiny auburn. I have been amazed at what they can "fix" in this salon! I really can't say enough good things. If you need a salon...please consider this one. I did and am very happy with my choice.

I have baby fine, natural blonde hair, which I'd had professionally color lifted by my previous stylist who retired. I chose Diva Studio after a bad experience with another Memphis Salon...where I requested my usual one shade color lift but ended up with a not so flattering Marilyn Monroe look plus the beginnings of very damaged hair. I searched for a certified colorist for help & found Ted over a year ago. He suggested highlighting and now my color looks natural (no obvious roots even after 5 wks), flatters my skin tone & eye color & most important, my hair is undamaged! As to the Salon in general, it is well maintained, the staff is extremely friendly (especially Molly), & my appointments are always on time (important as I live an hour away from Memphis). Are they expensive? Not overly so when you consider you get what you pay for. Am I worth it, yep, I am. Thanks Diva (Ted)... for great color plus healthy hair!

The colorist has a huge ego and works with 5-6 customers at the same time. He doesn't even pay attention to what you are asking for. I had to wait for 2 hours before he starting working on my hair. I walked out of there with orange hair instead of blond, and having spent a fortune. Not recommended!!

I have never had a bad hair experience until going to Diva Colour Studio. The stylist had five women going at once and had a huge ego. My hair was damaged and had a tint of purple when he was finished. I had to get it fixed and ended up paying way too much for the worst hair experience i've ever had. It happened almost a year ago and my hair is still recovering from the breakage. It literally broke off. Do not go here.

Comparing to the top rated salons in Memphis, Diva Studio is in my ranking at dead last. If you want to have hair that ends up damaged and ruined then Diva is the place for you. I have never been treated so harshly and rudely as at this place. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. I would not even take my dog there!

Where do I go for fabulous hair styling and amazing colour artistry....DIVA COLOUR STUDIO! As an American living in Europe I have tried the most chic salons from London to Paris and still find myself longing for the very talented stylist/color artist, Ted, at DIVA. Having been a client at DIVA for a number of years, I have never left the salon disappointed. Now, each return trip to the US from Europe I book in for "the works" and let Ted work his genious of color magic. Being secure in the fact the result is always consistant and amazingly fabulous keeps this international client very happy! Cheers to Ted and the amazing staff at DIVA for their abounding talents!!! my last salon really screwed up my hair color to the point where I had to wear a hat to hide my hair! Ted fixed the problem and now I am proud to show off my hair. I get complements that I look much younger then I am! Thanks Diva!
