I LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE, VERY ARTSY, I LOVE THERE FREE SPIRIT ATTITUDES AND JUST THERE OVERALL TREATMENT TO EVERYONE THAT WALKS IN THE DOORS. AND OPPOSE TO THE LAST REVIEW.... PIERCINGS AND FUNKY WILD HAIR COLOR DOES NOT REFLECT THE WAY THEY DO HAIR.. ITS JUST A PERSONAL STYLE SOME MAY CALL ART, AND I LOVE THE WAY THE OWNER KNOWS THIS AND ALLOWS THEM TO WORK... ITS BASED ON THERE WORK, NOT THEIR LOOK.

PROS: HAVE A GOOD TIME AND GET YOUR HAIR DID.... AND WANNA COME BACK.

CONS: THE ONLY CON I CAN THINK OF IS THAT I'M NOT WORKING THERE YET.

HORRIBLE

I went here is get a trim and received the worst haircut of my life. BEWARE! She did not listen to me at all! I was horrifed. I went elsewhere to try and get it fixed and they said that this either was intentuallly a bad haircut or the stylist needs more schooling. Please beware I can't describe this mullet thing I have now. Do not go here!

• Cons: Need to go back to school

This salon is incredible. The prices are unbelievably low. I cannot believe that I?m consistently receiving an awesome hair cut for a fraction of what comparable hair cuts cost at other salons. When I was in Chicago, I paid 200 percent more for a hair cut that wasn?t have as good as what I?ve been getting at Dabbles. The owner always greets with a smile, and is perpetually happy! It?s fun going to get my hair cut there. I look forward to it.

Don?t go anywhere else. Seriously.

• Pros: Innovative cuts/styles, Great personalities and attitude, GREAT value, free soda while you wait
• Cons: NONE, ZERO

This place is what's up!

Like most, I had a bad hair cut. I have "lushes Latina" hair so that means it's beautiful but requires extra care bk of it's volume and body and potential for frizz. Yikes! Anyway, I was so fortunate to find this place coming from San Francisco and Atlanta, I felt like I was out of Memphis for a while. Very kind and talented staff. Highly recommend. Oh and did I mention that the prices are great too?! Yes, you have to bring yr own tip but owell...it's worth it.

I love Dabbles

I started going to Dabbles after I had an at-home-hair-coloring catastrophe. I got in that same day, and several stylists gathered 'round to determine the best course of action for accidentally orange hair. My stylist did a wonderful job, and I (and my friends now) have been going to her ever since. I agree that she actually listens to what I want and gives me advice. As for the payment options ... it would seem that once they run the card, the sale is final so no tip can be added. This is the case with lots of businesses. I mean, it isn't a restaurant! Actually, I wrote a check once and added the tip in on that. Another time, I just came back with the cash. The minor inconvenience of having to remember to bring enough cash for a tip really doesn't matter, because the service is wonderful (they usually run on time and often offer you something to drink while you wait), the stylists are good at what they do, and the atmosphere is fun. I highly recommend Dabbles!

Best cut and color ever!

I had to leave my previous stylist at another salon because the service was very lacking. I was referred to Dabbles by a friend. I called up for an appointment and was fit in by the end of the week (per my request). The decor is very fun and the staff is edgy! I love it! My stylist actually listens to what I want versus what she wants to do for me. I've never had a bad experience at Dabbles and I love how the other stylists always remember my face when I walk in and ask how I've been. I've referred many friends to Dabbles and they said they owe me for this! This is the best salon I've ever been to.

And like the previous reviewer said, yes, the ability to not add a tip onto your card is a little frustrating but you get used to it. Sometimes I forget and just bring a tip the next day if I'm in a hurry after my appointment.

• Cons: limited payment options (no personal checks or AMEX/Discover)

CASH ONLY unless your the owner

If you decide to better yourself with a little salon treatment. Take in mind what type of company you have committed yourself too. The owner will be more than Happy to accept your credit card for payment. However they are not willing to add a tip, for all the hard work and great looks your stylist provided for you and Dabbles. The company can take your payment and is NOT willing to provide additional payment for the stylist.

I never observed a sign saying, ?OUR STYLIST NEEDS TO BE TIPPED IN CASH ONLY, and we are much too cheap a tacky to assist our staff. However, we would appreciate it if you would find the nearest ATM and return to Dabbles to tip your stylist. Dabbles certainly hopes your inconvenience will not reflect the attitude of Management or Ownership. As stated earlier, we are way too cheap to put an ATM in the building and really don?t care how much are stylist make as long as we can keep the doors open.?
