New to Memphis we expected great bbq. Locals all say "Corky's" but we're dumbfounded. The ribs are tender but the sandwich meat lacks smokey flavor so it's boring and the "splash" of sauce they put on it doesn't help. The coleslaw is bland, too. We're still searching for great bbq here.
Pros: Polite service, Drive-thru, Good in a pinch

We live in California and travel to Memphis to visit family every year. Every time we go we have to eat at Corky's at least once. We even have our relatives ship us the sauce and dry rub. The food is incredible and the service is true southern hospitality. I would highly recommend Corky's to anyone who likes to have a great meal at a great price and doesn't mind getting a little messy in the process.

Corky's has got to be the best bar-b-q in the U.S. I am from Philadelphia and I was there visiting and my friend told me if you don't like Corky's well...there just isn't any better. The dry ribs are excellent for those who really don't like barbeque sauce and if you appreciate fresh homemade coleslaw and yeast rolls this is the place for you. Here is a tip if you go make sure you don't eat anything before going because you will get full very quckly..and for all that you get...it is not expensive at all!

I live in Indiana, but every time I have been to Memphis I have gone to Corky's. They have the BEST BBQ I have ever tasted! Great selections of famous pork, chicken, or beef brisket- that is to DIE for! Now I am moving to that area and I can go there regularly. I Highly recommend you try it out when you are there. You wont be disappointed!
Pros: Great selection, excellent pricing, FABULOUS FOOD!

I have eaten at Corky's with family members and friends a number of times. The food is good, especially the ribs. Sometimes, however, there has been a bit of a wait. I usually find another restaurant where I won't have to wait.
Pros: great ribs, pleasant lighting
Cons: not the best parking, sometimes a wait
