Best Italian in Memphis. I have gone to Brooklyn Bridge since I was a child and I love it! The Lasagna is great, the Penne with Vodka cream add chicken is another favorite! I love the NY atmosphere, its romantic, and I love the caramel pie! The pizza's rock and so does the service!

Severely disappointed. My husband and I ate here in 2007 after hearing from others that it was very good. We ordered the calamari appetizer which was good, although not memorable. I ordered lasagna, and my husband ordered veal. My lasagna was the worst I have ever had, and the most expensive. It was bland, with mushy pasta, and not enough meat, but too much cheese. My husband's veal was passable. We decided to skip dessert. We have never gone back. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, so I was rather disappointed by the quality. I've been to chains that did better.

Good location, disappointing fare. First, Memphis has very little great food in the suburbs, it's full of lousy chains. This place although independent, is a rather poor attempt at great Italian food. There is nothing innovative here sorry to say.

One poster stated that her/his white wine was served WARM ?? then she/he put ICECUBES in it ???

(That should speak volumes as to the sophistication of Memphis servers and some Memphis consumers I suppose)

Enough said.

Don't waste your time in this place. Years ago the only innovative and almost mind-blowing Italian-owned place in Memphis was a place called CAFE MAX on Poplar near Shady Grove, and Memphians drove this place in the ground because they couldn't appreciate high quality fresh fish, mussels, lobster, and a host of other seafood dishes like a flavorful fish stew (bouilbase style), and homemade Italian pastries. Too bad.

A nice surprise!. I had been here years ago, and honestly couldn't remember anything about the food. So we decided to try it out last night. The shrimp appetizer was INCREDIBLE. The salad was just average, nothing to write home about. I got the Chicken alla Florentina, and it was delicious. I took the proscuitto off of the top, so I cannot rate that with the chicken, but the chicken was cooked perfectly, nice and juicy, and the spinach florentine was yummy. My friend got the lasagne, and said it was amazing. The ONLY complaints I might have had was the waiter seemed to keep forgetting about us, or else was just really busy - and the wine (white) was warm. I tossed a couple ice cubes in it to chill it, and after that it was fine. Will absolutely be going back, and bringing friends!

Hostess/owner was not interested in our business. We will not bother her again.. I have eaten at Brooklyn Bridge many times in the past but not recently. Tonight I went with friends who had a $15.00 coupon. Because I have eaten there as many times as my friend I asked if we could have the same coupon. The hostest/owner said that her marketing department only sent the coupon to one zip code. Sorry, we were out of luck. Tough meat tough luck. We will not bother her again.

Eat out often first-time message.

Nice Try. but the food is nothing thoughtful at all, nothing mind-blowing, it's two steps up from Olive Garden, I'd PASS

You MUST have NO experience eating true Italian. ..if you think this place is somehow exceptional...maybe it's exceptional to Memphis, but people even in Nashville would grade this an inferior food

Insulting to NYC. No one in Brooklyn NY would eat here, that's why they moved to Memphis I guess

Editorial Review. You'll forget you're in the South after walking into this romantic bistro reminiscent of Little Italy with its homemade Italian.

To die for!. I doubt I have words to adequately describe the incredible Penne Rappe, Lasagna, and <gasp> Caramel Pie featured at Brooklyn Bridge. Do yourself a favor and try this little gem. You won't be sorry.
