I started taking my dog to Forest Hill after leaving a vet I was very uncomfortable with. I have seen all the doctors there, and they are wonderful! They were finally able to help me get my dog's allergies under control, and they answer all my many questions. However, the office staff leaves something to be desired. I can't say that they are actually rude, but they are curt and standoff-ish. They just are not very friendly. I have found that the afternoon staff tends to be a little more friendly than the morning staff. I never have a problem getting an appointment, and their rates are comparable to other vets in the area. I have yet to board my dog there, but I think I would definitely give it a try. Overall, I think it is worth getting past the office staff to see these vets. They are wonderful at what they do!

I have been a client of Forest Hill for 15 years and they have always been fair, polite and straight forward. Dr. Johnson is my primary, though I have seen the other doctors and they are great too, and he is always informative about my animals' conditions, what my options are and what is really needed now and what can wait because he understands vet bills can become very expensive very quickly. I have never been charged unfairly or treated anything less then perfect and the staff there is extremely friendly. I have had my share of bad experiences with vets and this is just not one of them.
Pros: doctors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful
Cons: it's hard to get an appointment with the same vet everytime so my dog and cat have been seen by 2 or 3 different doctors in their lifetime
