Old-style hardware store.
I always enjoy going to the Germantown Hardware store - the people there always treat me well, the popcorn is free and they have most things you would want at a pretty good price. Much more pleasant
and personable than the big box stores.
Make sure you come on Saturdays in the warmer season - they sponsor a farmers market with live music.
They do tend to respond in kind - if you are pushy and rude, they will be too - if you are polite - they will be their usual polite selves. Germantown is all about nice people, so leave your attitudes in Memphis! (I agree - the trimmer story seems highly unlikely and contrived - not in character at all).…
What?. After reading these reviews I have to respond. I have shopped Germantown Hardware for years and have always been happy. I puchased my Weber grill and Stihl trimmer and blower from them. They were very helpful. Roy sold all of them to me and was very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommed the store to all my friends and neigbors. The trimmer story just seems alittle far-fetched so I thought I would post a favorable review. Seems like unhappy people post reviews nowdays. More people who have positive experiences need to do the same.…
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I have been in the lawn business for 10 years and have never had such bad service at a small engine shop. I was looking for a fuel filter. The old man in the parts dept. started off rude. I thought to my self, it's first thing monday morning so no big deal. I was told that he could not help me with a filter. The guy who looks up parts on the computer will be in tuesday. Most shops would know right where the Honda tiller fuel filter would be. Not here, Save time and go to Gambrelle off Summer ave. or Colonial Hardware next to Bass Pro Shop. They may be rude at Colonial but they know there stuff and stock lots of parts.…
Worst Customer Service & Deceptive Products!.
I went to the Germantown Hardware Store in Germantown to buy a New Weed Eater Trimmer for my yard. I bought the Trimmer and while putting it my car I noticed that it was used. I took the Trimmer back
into the store right then, and told the Germantown Employee "Roy" that the Trimmer was used.
He told me that it was new and he just put it up on the shelf before I came into the store. Roy and I argued over it and then Roy said to me "GET OUT OF HERE"!
I took the Trimmer to another sales person, showed it to them, and got a refund of my money. I "Got Out of There" and will never go Back!
Beware!
Open the box before you leave the store to check and see if you are getting a NEW Product or not.…
