Memphis' version of Central Park is a lovely 65-acre nature preserve in the center of the city.. The Scene Three miles of hiking trails meander through forests, meadows and a 10-acre lake. This 65-acre haven features pavilions, lawns and a greenhouse.
The Sights The visitor's center has a number of displays. Interactive exhibits and an animal parade (a series of animal exhibits) show visitors how humans have affected the environment, the life cycles of wildlife and the four seasons. Red foxes, chipmunks, Canadian geese and a number of other critters wander the three habitats, and birds of all kinds come and go with the seasons.
