great ribs!!. I just like their sauce. That's why they get high marks from me. I've been told that their dry ribs have more meat on them than do the wet ribs. This place to me is a quintessential Memphis BBQ joint.

Good sandwiches and ribs. The food is always pretty good here. The service is good too. Dinner for 2 can easily be $35, so not really on the cheap side, but the value is there. The play great 50s music in the restaurant. Parking is terribly inadequate.

Best BBQ around!. I can't believe in 11 reviews, nobody mentioned the pulled pork BBQ Nachos! These are wonderful! They are in the appetizer menu unless I am mistaken but they are huge, more than enough for a meal. I might also mention the wet ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, slaw and beans. I was too full to make it to dessert. I will agree that Rendezvous has the best dry ribs in Memphis but for anything else, Corkey's is the place to go. I don't know where the bad revies came from but we always visit the one on Poplar and although it is always crowded, seating doesn't usually take long. You can also have the food shipped to you as well as buy it in many grocery stores.

Corky's is the BEST!. Before visiting Mempis I was told by many Memphians that a visit to Corky's should be my top priority. I took thier advice and was very well pleased. The food, as well as desserts, was just what I expected of Memphis BBQ! If you want a good Memphis experience I would recommend including a stop to Corky's.

Corky's was disappointing. My family and I were recently in Memphis and made a point of getting BBQ while we were visiting. We spent the morning on Beale St. and decided to go to Corky's for lunch. The atmosphere was more of a take out place. It was very small with only 3 tables. I understand there is a larger restaurant located elsewhere. Regardless, I would not have minded being squeezed in there, if the food had been even remotely good. It was below average when I compare it to other BBQ we have had (and I live in Michigan!) The men behind the counter were not even attempting to be friendly(so much for southern hospitality) and the price was too high for what we received. I am sure Memphis has some great BBQ, but for my money, it can't be found at Corkey's.

Pulled-pork sandwiches, tangy ribs and onion rings: The food at this Memphis institution is worth every calorie.. The Scene
This retro-fitted restaurant (think 1950s-style neon and waiters in bow ties) consistently wins accolades for serving Memphis' best barbecue. It's become so popular over the years that Corky's now ships meat around the country and markets its own line of barbecue sauce.

The Food
This restaurant specializes in pulled-pork that's doused in barbecue sauce, topped with a scoop of creamy cabbage coleslaw, and served on a bun. This combination of flavors may seem strange to the uninitiated, but nothing screams Southern barbecue quite like it. Corky's also serves wet or dry ribs, delectable barbecued chicken and greasy onion rings. Desserts include various pies such as the brownielike fudge pie, but a barbecue feast may preclude many guests from getting that far into the menu.

Overrated. I don't understand why Corky's is always rated as one of the best bbq restaurants in Memphis. I have tried their dry ribs twice and both times I was really disappointed. They are not tender, you have to practically saw them apart. For great bbq in Memphis, I recommend Rendezvous for dry ribs and Jim Neely's Interstate BBQ for wet ribs.

Best BBQ. I've lived in Memphis for over 17 years, and I must say that Corky's BBQ is the only BBQ in Memphis, or the surrounding areas, fit to eat. The service is great; the environment is comfortable and appealing to even the most critical of observers; and the food--all of it--is irresistably delightful, from the onion loaf all the way to the pie. This is the best eating-place in all of Memphis.

"A US. Best of BEST". This Memphis barbeque place is definitely some of the best food you'll ever have and one of the prides of the city . The Barbeque is mouth watering and the desserts are delitefully. I recommend this place to everyone even if you have to get it sent Fed Ex, which is done everyday. City Search, check this place out you never taste anything like it again in your life.
