very bad service, and even worse manager on duty. Took my Wife daughter and Mom for a nice dinner while my mom was in town for the weekend. We ordered two soups, 20 min later waitress arrieved with 1 soup, and said, oh you where supossed to get one also, I"ll go get it, and never did. She looks at my empty glass, but does not refill it. She passed by 3 more times without saying a word. I finally had to track her down and tell her we needed two more refills of sweet tea. She takes them with a sigh and fills them with unsweet tea and no ice. We asked for crackers and she said they were out. By this time I ask to talk to a manager. He comes over, I tell him the problems, and he offers no apologies, only says yeah, the truck didn't come. Not a word about our wrong drinks and did not even offer to get us new drinks. I decided it was time we left. We drove through the Mcdonalds drive through to get our daughter something to eat, and the service at Mcdonalds was 100 times better. I'LL NEVER GO BACK TO STAKE AND ALE. I HIGHLY SUGGEST IF YOU ARE TAKING SOMEONE OUT, DO NOT GO HERE. VERY BAD SERVICE, AND CUSTOMER COMES SECOND HERE.
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Steakhouse with old English country charm, serves grilled steak entrees and fresh seafood platters in private, comfortable atmosphere.
Delicious!.
I go to this restaurant frequently with co-workers. We've never had a bad experience. The lobster bisque is fantastic as is the prime rib. The service is always good.
I took a date there for his birthday waaaay back in 1980 and we had a wonderful time; so much so that when we were near Houston, TX in 2005 we spotted a Steak & Ale and we went there out of sheer reminiscence... just as good there, too!
Best Meal out Together. It was our first trip away together. I was very nervous. We went to the Casino in Tunica and I won fifty dollars. Steak and Ale had been one of the places I wanted to try. OH MY GOODNESS. We had a short wait but it was worth it. It was busy but the service was outstanding. He had an Absolut and Tonic which I truly enjoyed my straw sips of. The prime rib was melt in your mouth. Our server she was attentive despite all the people she was taking care of. The restaurant was clean, lighting just right. We had a coupon from our hotel and though it had expired they honored it. It was the best meal we have had out together. I hope to be able to go back again some day.
