Great Restaurant All Around. I passed by this shopping center for years, never knowing that a great restaurant sat inside!

I had a great brunch here. The food was uniquely prepared and delicious. The waitress was professional and swooped in without even knowing she was there! Overall, this was a great experience.

I am looking forward to going back, and bringing people with me.

Great Restaurant in Memphis. We love the Grove Grill. I have always found the seafood to be fresh and DELICIOUS! The Caesar salad is perfect and not at all heavy and overly dressed. You can actually taste the freshness in their produce too. I have been many times and it is always great! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

BEWARE of Food Poisoning!! Made 3 people SICK. My husband and two of our friends dined at the Grove Grill for our friend's birthday and three out of the four us got sick almost immediately after eating. Our friend's birthday was ruined and my husband and I spent the rest of the night in the bathroom.

I called the Grove the next day and was told that no one else who had eaten there got sick and 'sorry'. Unpleased by the response I e-mailed the owner.... NO RESPONSE.

To me this a really big deal - 3 people got VERY SICK from eating there! The food was also very VERY sub par, especially for the price, but that's not what is most important.

I e-mail AGAIN and finally a response saying they were sorry we did not ENJOY a menu item and that the food wasn't too our expectations and that they would credit us or something.

I almost laughed when I read that. It has nothing to do with us ENJOYING or the food meeting out expectations, WE GOT FLIPPIN' FOOD POISONING FROM YOU PEOPLE!

Nothing about us getting sick or trying to find out what made us sick was mentioned but I still thought it was fair of them to offer to credit our meal ( I had to mention being credited for the food - when I spoke to them on the phone nothing of that sort was mentioned. This is very unclassy for a so-called classy place )

I responded explaining to them that we used a gift card and tipped cash, blah blah blah, and NO RESPONSE.

I wait a WEEK ( like a did before ) and still NO response.

I write again asking if anyone has recieved my e-mail.

NO RESPONSE

So today I informed them that I would make sure people knew how we were treated and that we got sick off their crappy high dollar food and that is excatly what I am doing! BE CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE FOLKS!

I agree with the poster about the SMOKE !!!. We moved from FL and you CAN'T smoke in ANY restaurant thank GOD

This place is in a good spot but the food misses its mark, esp the fish !!! nasty nasty

The bar was full of smoke migrating into the dining area ! what's wrong with TN ? is it that far behind the health curve ??? whew !

we can't recommend this place

Avoid oysters - can't avoid the smoke. The Grove is your standard upscale restaurant and bar. It's far from other raw bars I've visited. The oysters are large and fishy, not small and sweet as is typical of great Canadian or Pacific NW types.

I was surprised how few fresh items were on the menu for dinner or appetizers. A lot of heavy and fattening items. A raw bar in my mind constitutes lots of fresh seafood, vegetables, salads, etc.

Finally, having lived in three states prior to TN - all of which ban smoking - I forget that "bar" in Memphis means smoke - and lots of it. And when the nonsmoking section is 10' from the smoking bar, you can bet that you're walking out smelling like an ashtray no matter where you sit.

So the Grove is average - potentially a good standby when you don't want to head downtown.

"GROVE Grill" IMPROVED. Somebody is paying attention to the food now....vastly different, higher quality fish now than on our last (awful) visit.

CONGRATULATIONS, there might be hope in Memphis, TN

Overpriced. The quality of food and the ambience here do not justify the silly prices. Its good, but not so good to justify the cost. Food is average, and suckers eat there!

GRAVE grill. Stick a fork in them, they're done. Overpriced BS food. What is this "shrimp & grits" crap? This stuff must be a Mississippi and Arkansas delicasy. I was looking for the mountain oysters for an appetizer! This place is behind the culinary food curve
