Great service, Lowest price – I would highly recomend Jim's TV Service Ctr! After calling several TV repair store's in the Memphis area concerning repairing my Tuner on a 24" Sony, I was ready to throw away the TV, until I spoke with the nice lady who answered the phone at Jim's; she advised me that this could be repaired easily at a reasonable price. 24 hours later my televison was working like brand new, and I was able to pick it up on Saturday evening after I got off from work.
Do Not Recommend – The most important features of good customer service are honesty and integrity. I did not experience these with Jim's TV Service Center. In fact, quite the opposite occurred. They told me they had the part "in stock" for my TV and it would be "returned in 2 to 3 days." They not only took my $5000 Sony 60" TV they also took my personal IPhone. I immediately noticed my phone was missing and called the company to see if the repairman inadvertently picked it up. I was told he would not have taken it. Hmmm, maybe it grew legs and walked out the door along with him. I called to check on my TV after a week and was told that they were still talking to Sony about what was needed for repair. What happened to "the part is in stock and we can fix it and get it back in 2 to 3 days"? I asked that they return my TV immediately (I got it back a few days later). So now I am out $400 -- a service call AND the replacement of my IPhone and I still need to have my TV repaired. Frankly, I am relieved I got my TV back. Again, I cannot recommend a company that lacks the fundamental trait necessary to build trust. This review has one star only because a rating is required. Otherwise, I would have given it none.
Sketchy Business – I am an engineering major, at a near by school, with not a lot of money on hand, and I do not know everything on TVs but have read up on hyper modules and how there 10uf capacitors go out, and other TV components, i chose Jim's because it was close; however, the price of parts usually do not change in hours. I was quoted 3 different prices (originally told $573, then dropped to $340, then I offered $200 cash and they considered, told 3 different dates when (originally it would be done a week from when I dropped it off, then turned to month, then they said 3 months) it would be done...very sketchy place nothing but bad vibes, information was very inconsistent and constantly varied...Just look at the place, is that somewhere you want your TV worked on????

This service does not even deserve a star! Abysmal Service along with an even worse staff. – Only two words can define this service. "It Stinks". R I D I C U L O U S! They have had my tv for 8 Months! 8 long tedious months and it's still there! WTF?! Are these people serious!
You got to be kidding! Stay Away! – Stay Away from these folks!! Terrible service and obnoxious staff, I would never recommend this place to anyone! I can't believe Best Buy sent me there. Thanks for nothing!
Disorganized, slow and rude! – Had to use them 'cause Best Buy uses them for warranty repairs. They kept my TV for THREE months! No status calls. Often when I called them they couldn't find my record. When finally fixed, they wouldn't give TV back without additional paperwork and tacked on charges for which I was not informed prior (pickup / delivery, etc.). Steer clear! Very unprofessional!
Had my TV for almost 2 months – I had used Jim's TV previously because best buy uses them for their warranty claims. I had no problems the first time. They had my TV back in 3 days. This past time they had it for a week before I called asking for a status. They told me it was on the work bench and they would call me back. A week and 4 calls later I told them I would wait on hold because they never called me back and I wanted a status on my TV. Only then, after waiting on hold for 20 minutes, did they tell me they needed to order some parts and it would be another week. A week and a half later I still had no TV and got the same classic "I will call you back with a status". After no call back for 3 days I called them and got the same answer again. This went on for almost 2 months and out of the 12 or 15 times they told me they would call me back I never once recieved a call. This is by far the worst service I have ever received and I would suggest saving some time and skip over them in the phone book.
