Dissagreeing with the above complaint. Im very sorry but I have to disagree with the review above I have eaten here and it was amazing we were immediately seated. Then we were served with appetizers shortly followed by our main course and then dessert. I love this restaurant and can't wait to go back. Oh yea the food was like none other in the city you will be amazed just give it a chance.

The Scene
This first-rate Italian eatery has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. It's only one of the Gristani locations, a family-owned restaurant that's provided Memphis with excellent food and good service for years. Two words: friendly, tasty.
The Food
Nibble on breadsticks as you peruse the menu and your waiter rattles off the 10 nightly specials. Pasta ala Elfo, a buttered pasta with shrimp, garlic and mushrooms is just one of the handmade pasta dishes. Fresh seafood selections liven up the daily offerings, while veal medallions, porterhouse chops, rack of lamb and beef filets give diners a number of delicious meaty choices. The pasta's filling, so think twice before eating another forkfull and save room for desert. Grisanti's pastry chef creates a number of fresh desserts each day.

Delizioso!!. Atmosphere great although a little noisy. The salmon pietro was scrumptious, and brought leftovers home for next day.....still good. Service excellent, but it did seem it was forever before our dessert was served. As we were sitting next to the kitchen door, someone in our party opened the door to remind them we were waiting. No problem; plus the dessert was worth the wait. Can't remember the name, but was something caramel with sort of a bananas foster-like sauce....yummy. Our family is looking forward to a gathering there for our daughter and fiance's rehearsal dinner in May. All in all a good experience.

filet filet filet. ronnie and his boys have THE filet in memphis. gorganzola cheese stuffed inside a nice juicy filet...it is the best. we don't eat here all that often, but when we do, we know that the food will be outstanding along with everything else ronnie's has to offer.

overpriced hometown italian. Many other italian resturants much better, including the grisantis at embassy suites

Best Food In Memphis. I eat here about 3 times a month. The food is always wonderful and the waiters are always there when you need them. Ronnie always makes sure that you have the best time when you are eating at his restaurant.

best italian in memphis.
Being fans of Italian food we were looking forward to sampling the best that Memphis had to offer, we were very dissapointed, the food was OK'ish but the overall night left us greatly dissapointed!
extensive specials list - great but why can't they be written down with prices ($24 for a raviolli is expensive)
our appetisers arrived several minutes apart (and there was only 2 of us!)
main courses arrived on cold plates, the food was not really hot to start with either
bread sticks, whatever happened to traditional Italian bread?
verdict - expensive, poor service

My Ever So Fabulous Review. Great Food, love the atmosphere, the only thing I had a problem with was when my boyfriend and I went in we were put at a table in the back corner just because we were young.

The food and the atmosphere is outstandi. The food is excellent. My husband proposed to me there. They serve some of the most incredable manicotti. It is the best Italian in the city.

Great Food and Service. Ronnie Grisanti's resaurant is one of the finest dining establishments in the United States. I travel alot and have dined in just about every state in the U.S. and I have yet to find a dining establishment that can match what the Grisanti family is delivering to the Memphis community.
