Fabulous martinis, a soothing atmosphere and a happening location distinguish this Cooper Street mainstay..
The Scene
This location has housed a series of different restaurants over the past decade, but Cooper Street Bar & Grill seems to have staying power in a district that aspires to be the Soho of the South. Be sure to stop and admire the bar's exterior on your way in. Dramatic architecture makes this reddish-mauve brick building one of the most attractive in the neighborhood.
The Booze
Martinis are the order of the night here. Try a Negroni, a French Twist, or, if you're cutting loose, both.
While You're There
Hungry? Have a salad or sandwich in one of the cavernous dining rooms adjoining the bar.
