The Scene – This bar is nothing fancy, but it's calm and friendly, and there are plenty of good tunes in the jukebox. Service is amiable but slow; if you're in a rush, this isn't the place to come. been in some movies ,locals, and ya got the drinks, need we say more.
It tends to cater to the midtown and artsy crowd ...has some nice talent everynow n then.
You never know who you will run into.

shirley is the beer goddess---serving only pabst blue ribbon and a couple of other domestics, along with wonderful burgers and grilled cheese, this is the place to go to wind down and take a load off, without spending your life savings for a beer. the lamplighter has an unbelievable life of its own, filled with characters no novelist could imagine. its a place to join in the conversation, or just sit and watch--either way, you'll be glad you went, if only for a moment. and if jack's feet do happen to be in your way-step on them and tell him darcy told you to.
- Pros: cheep beer, great people, cheep music/pool
- Cons: cheep beer=drunk, a tad smokey

A good place to go and people watch. Shirley is the best...there used to be a pet cat as well. Have a Pabts and a grill Cheese, but watch your mouth.
