Average. I've only eaten here once and all that I can remember about it was that I almost broke a tooth on their day old bread. Honestly!

cheap?!?!. Not! The food is good but definately not cheap. When they have the ribs they are to DIE for.

one of the best. this is one of my favorite restaurants! my friends and i discovered it when we attended rhodes college, and the prices fit perfectly with our college-student budgets. years later, i still do not come to memphis without making a stop at this restaurant. i've brought my parents, out-of-town friends, and co-workers, and everyone loves it! the food is fabulous, and so is the patio! i saw that someone had given it a con because there was no wine list, but you can bring your own wine. also, when it's really busy, you can put your name on the list, give them your cell number, and go across the street to the blue monkey (a great bar) to have a drink, and they will call you when your table is ready. you MUST try this place

Don't miss this laid-back shack for great gourmet food at an affordable fast-food price.. The Scene
A large patio and white tent make for a relaxed, backyard vibe in hip, bustling Overton Square. Servers in T-shirts and Tevas wait on hippie chicks and college grads, unwinding after a busy workday. In the cooler months, heat fills the tent for a fun, cozy date place.

The Food
It may look like a burger joint on the outside, but on the inside, you'll find a varied, non-shack menu featuring Cajun, Thai and local specialties. Appetizers like beef satay dipped in spicy peanut sauce are delicious, but you'll get more for your money with the filling entrees. Tender chicken, mushrooms and scallions swim in creamy, smoked bacon carbonara over orzo pasta--it's heavenly. Seafood lovers will swoon over pecan-smoked amberjack and Granny Smith apples laced with thyme. Sandwiches are just as tasty, especially the tender barbecued pork smothered in tangy, homemade sauce. Sister Bea's rum cake is worth the detour alone.

Best Food for the Money in Memphis. Went to On Teur based on other posted ratings. If you do not need the fancy overhead associated with gourmet food, this is the restaurant for you. Could not believe the prices on these entres!

phenomenal. This is the best food in the city, in the most casual atmosphere in town. The deck is a great place to hang out while eating food that easily competes with all of what are considered the other best restaurants in Memphis. There dishes are like nothing else you can find anywhere, and the creativity with flavor and spice is incredible. If you have not eaten there, you are really missing something special. Chef Derk rocks!!
