The Scene
The decor is the ultimate in casual. Over the years diners have carved their initials, drawn pictures and slapped photos on the walls. Not an artist, but have excellent aim? Customers are encouraged to shoot toothpicks at the ceiling through a straw. This family-run burger joint is the perfect place to gather with friends and unwind from a hectic day. Get here early or you'll have to wait. It's well worth the effort.
The Food
The burgers are big and juicy and come in a handful of varieties, like the West Coast with guacamole and Monterey Jack to the Senor Huey smothered in zippy jalepeno cheese. Generous baskets of golden fries or the hand-breaded onion rings are the perfect accompaniment along with a cold beer. Homemade potato soup, salads and sandwiches round out the very affordable menu.

All the Huey's in Memphis are overall good, but Midtown's the best. Best wait staff, not the busiest, and most convenient location to other Memphis happenings (except of course for downtown). The food at all of them is great. My personal favorite is the west coast burger. Service isn't necessarily fast, but the environment is moreso for relaxing, watching sports on TV, drinking beers with friends, etc. Overall, a good place to go for a casual drink or meal.

Huey's is a great place to grab some food during a game or just for a quiet comfortable dinner out with friends. They have bands on Sunday nights, which can be pretty loud. If you're into cover bands then they're pretty good in general, but if you just want to grab some food then try Huey's another night. The bar has a wide selection. The drinks aren't killer in themselves, but with the amazing burgers they go pretty well. The cheese fries are a must! Enjoy!

Nothing like a Huey burger, basket of fries a cold Busch longneck! I was born and raised in the Memphis area and consumed many of the mentioned products and stop at Hueys every time I'm in town. It's definitely the best burger in Memphis and the second best burger I've ever eaten. You'd have to go to Port of Call in New Orleans for a better burger
