Great food served with concerns. I went to Saigon Le and I love their shrimp fried rice & their wings. My main concern was I saw a male waiter blowing his nose in his hands and wiped it on his pants. And another person blew her nose on a cloth before she served her table. Other than that I love the food and I don't think they are rude they are just straight to the point people.

I feel they should wash their hands in between serving a table when they have colds/sinus problems.

Good Food + Horrible Attitude = Bad Experience. My experience isnt very different from the many others who wanted good food but instead got a taste of the poor attitude by the people involved. Even the young guy at the counter was nothing but rude. I've had enough of this nonsense and plan to go elsewhere. Memphis isnt short on good asian eating joints. Saigon Le is just not worth the hype.

Hundreds of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes lure crowds to one of the city's favorite ethnic restaurants.. The Scene
Located in Midtown, this clean, cheerful restaurant packs in a crowd, especially during lunchtime. With its location right near the Medical Center District, you can expect to see lots of scrubs and clogs.

The Food
The hundreds of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes offered here have proven consistently fresh and delicious over time. Chunky hot-pot soups, cellophane noodles and tender lo mein are studded with crunchy vegetables. Mounds of fresh cilantro and mint leaves garnish Vietnamese soups like Pho and all the Kung Pao and sweet and sour regulars. Start off with spring rolls, delicate wonton wrappers encasing finely chopped shrimp, cabbage and other vegetables. Domestic and imported beers, teas and soft drinks help cool the spiciness of the more potent dishes. Believe the menu: The red stars indicate heat--and they mean it!

Good Food, but very poor service. The food is very good and very authentic, however the owner of the restaurant can be very rude without any apparent reason.

If you really like vietnamese beef noodle soup (phe hoa), try the restaurant across the street. They have one of the best beef noodle soup in the country.

Kitschy Environment, Fantastic Food. Forget the cheap furnishings and gaudy wall adornments. Forget the bossy waitstaff. Above all, forget what you know about fine dining ambience. While not the most beautiful restaurant, Sigon Le still manages to serve up some of the best food in town without any of the pretension...this place is for asian food fanatics. Not only will you get one of the best meals that Memphis has to offer, you will also get one lof the lightest paychecks going, too. Make sure to try the lettuce wrap spring rolls and the vegetable soup, and don't forget to bring your friends so that you can use the lazy susan.

Great food, horrible service. As a native Asian Memphian, there are very few Asian restaurants that I would swear by - Saigon Le is one of them. I love the food! However, their service could definitely improve. I have yet to go there and be treated nicely. The waitresses always have a sour look and are not particularly helpful, but the food more than makes up for it. If you're in Memphis, a stop at Saigon Le is a MUST!

Best soup in town. Wonderful noodle soups and spring rolls. Service is prompt but not friendly. The food is so fresh it doesn't matter.

shut up and enjoy the food. We go to Saigon Le because the food is always incredible and the people are always good to us. People that complain about it usually are not used to dining in a "hole in the wall" kind of place. The waitresses know what we want and serve it hot and delicious. They converse with us about what has been going on since the last time we were there. In fact, the only people I have ever seen them "rude" to are those that had the attitude first.

If you are expecting a posh atmosphere and fine china, go somewhere else. If you want incredible asian cuisine at a great price, Saigon Le is definitely the place to be.
