Was once a regular at "the map room", but stopped going because of RUDE staff. (one skinny brunette in particular)
A little bit coffee shop, a little bit bookstore, a little bit tourist information site..
The Scene:
Here at this quaint Main Street storefront along the trolley line, the young and hip can stop in for a cup of hot herbal tea or a cold bottle of beer. While you're at it, hang around and read the free books, newspapers, and magazines strewn loosely about the decidedly den-like room. Make some friends and strike up a game of Backgammon. Or sink into a chair, lose yourself in caffeine and nicotine, and wait to meet up with other like-minded individuals. The Map Room is a homey haven for casual get-togethers or blissful solace among friendly strangers. The place has a limited menu of food including sandwiches, soups, cookies, brownies, and the like. Occasionally, poetry readings, book signings or live music events are held here as well.
Must Have Drinks:
The chocolate milkshakes are divine.
