Valentine's Day 2003.
I live between both Buckley's, but I really like the overall experience at the downtown location better than the one out east. We went there this year for Valentine's Day, and even though it was incredibly busy, the food and the service was great and the value was excellent. Great steak for $12 and the blackened salmon pasta was awesome.
Best Local Secret.
The concierge at the Peabody recomended this restaurant to my group and I was very pleased. The value was excellent, the service was very attentive and personable, and the quality of the food was very good. If and when you get to Memphis, before you visit all of the "touristy" restaurants, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.
Tyson Loses, But I Found A Winner!.
My wife and I happened to be traveling through Memphis on the weekend of the Tyson-Lewis fight. We decided to go downtown to "see what it was all about" and came across a great little restaurant called Buckley's. From the moment we walked in the door, it was just the most pleasant dining experience I have had in a long time. The staff was friendly, courteous, and attentive. The food was not only excellent, but what a value! Their signature item is an 8oz filet w/ a side item for $11.99! The atmosphere is great and I can easily see how businessmen and casual diners would both enjoy a great evening.
