Schnitzel. Sauerbraten. Yeast rolls. This delightful Bavarian beer hall proves that simple German specialties can be great..
The Scene
Memphis has an eclectic array of ethnic eateries, but German restaurants are relatively scarce. Thank goodness for Erika's, which holds its own as the representative of German cuisine in this city. The darkish atmosphere is lightened by soft lamps and lace curtains. Drink selections include beer and wine.
The Food
This delightful restaurant features pillow-soft yeast rolls served warm from the oven, and tart and tender sauerbraten served with vinegary red cabbage. Creamy potatoes make your mouth water with the taste of salt and real butter. Erika's food is simple, specializing in nothing more complicated than good schnitzel, bratwurst, knockwurst and sauerkraut. Rich, sweet cheesecake is the single dessert option.
Dish to Die For
Feast like a Kaiser on tender sauerbraten, tangy sauerkraut, and delicious yeast rolls.

Great Lunch, Friendly Staff.
I've never been at night, but the lunch is wonderful.
I go at least once every two weeks and I'm never disappointed.
