absolutely terrible service. I ordered cleats 25 days ago and they still haven't come.
Horrible Experience.
Ordered a hat 45 days ago. I still haven't received it. They won't respond to my emails. I just filed a complaint through PAYPAL.
I find if funny that 2 of their positive reviews for this "ONLINE STORE" come from people who live in the same city in which Dowdle is located. Obviously these people are directly affiliated with Dowdle Sports and are desperately trying to save face for what, for me, is by far my worst internet purchasing experience. Never again will I do business with Dowdle and I will pass my experience onto others.
To Dowdle: customer service is the most important part of a business. It can make or break you.

We informed the customer that the hat was backordered. He then elected to place his order on backorder. The backordered date was delayed 3 times by the manufacturer and we emailed the customer each time the date changed or he emailed us. Instead of informing us first that he wanted to cancel his order and receive a refund, Mr. Wellman filed a complaint with Paypal and we promptly refunded his money in full.
Great Online Store. I was searching for Nike football cleats online and found Dowdle Sports had the best prices. I placed an order and recieved it in 4 days. I would recommend this company and will order from them again.
Good Online Experience. Ordered a custom Schutt football helmet and shoulder pads online. We received the shoulder pads first and the custom helmet arrived a day or two later. They also had a large selection of other football equipment and we went back to them for cleats and a support brace. I will continue to shop them whenever we need sports equipment.
Saved the Day!. We needed a left-handed throwing baseball glove to replace one that was lost/stolen. We had to have it by the weekend and Dowdle came through for us big time! I can't praise them enough for getting this order to us in time. We will shop here for all our athletic equipment as they have really good prices, too!
Wish they would answer their phone. Can't say they're awful, because I couldn't get that far. Slow to answer e-mails. No phone contact, just an "endless loop" voice mail thing. I'm sure they are great if there aren't any issues. Just wish they had "live people" to talk to.
Great Online Experience. I ordered Lacrosse cleats for my son and softball cleats for my daughter and needed them overnighted for the weekend. I was pleasantly suprised to have the cleats in time for both games. We are customers for life!...thanks Dowdle!
Very Poor customer service for on-line sales..
Ordered cleats on Saturday and received a confirm. We were unable to track the order, so I sent an email asking for tracking information on Tuesday. Didn't get a reply until late Friday afternoon; we were told that we SHOULD have be told that the item was out of stock. (They never told us that.) They cannot be reached by phone and in a follow-up email I was told they don't call customers.
Never an apology. But they did ask if we want to order something else. Yeah, right.
