Authentic mexican food. Very generic atmosphere, but the cheese sauce is the best in Memphis. The food items at all locations is the same, & equally yummy. The servers are mainly mexican, but no problem communicating. Service is fast!

My family has been going to El Porton for many years...since my son was 5 and my daughter 2...they are 21 and 16 now!!! Rosa and Ron run a great restaurant.. food is always good... atmosphere is great. Rosa and Ron are two wonderful people with two kids of their own..who also work at the restaurant. Eveyone is kind and always seem to be "Happy" that you are there. I don't think I've EVER had anything that wasn't prepared well and everything tastes awesome. If you've never been, you really must try it.
