Tips for O'Charley's

Consistent service and friendly staff for 15 years. We've lived about a mile from the Cordova OCharley's for over 15 years and eat at the restaurant or take advantage of their take out option frequently and often weekly. They are wonderful! The food is consistent and delicious and the prices very reasonable. Occasionally the service hasn't been the best, particularly if the server is new, but if we ask the server to correct whatever it is that has been problematic they are always most willing to be helpful. There is no such thing as a "perfect" restaurant, especially in the mid-price range. Their salads are fresh and delicious, dressings excellent, salmon an steaks tasty and cooked to my satisfaction, breakfast foods on Sunday delicious, hamburgers and fries also good if you want to indulge a few more calories. Over that long period of time we have been served by many, many employees of this restaurant and have eaten lots of their meals. I travel for a living and because I eat out so much I am very picky about restaurant food. I think the previous reviewer has been missing some yummy food very close to home. Last word of advice would be don't go when they are crazy busy-any restaurant shines brighter when they are not stressed to the max.

major disappointment. I really wanted this place to work - it is very conviently located to our home, the theater, and shopping.

We first tried O'Charley's last year - I had a blue cheese "rare" burger that was dry, overdone, flavorless, and had 2 tiny spots of cheese on it. The wife had cold french fries. On a plus, the fresh hot rolls were excellent - I filled up on those, waiting for my server.

Hoping the first time was a fluke, we went again a few weeks ago. Sadly, our experience was the same; slow service, cold food, but great biscuits. The waiter was most applogectic this time, and did remove inedible items from the bill, but there are too many great restaurants in Cordova to give O'Charley's a third try.
