I've been for lunch only and I must say that Maria's has been great every time. I never would have picked a place like this for a burger, but if you miss out on these burgers, you will have missed out on one of the best burgers in the mid south! Maria's gets all the details right in the burgers, so much so that you might not ever want to order any of the other delicious southwest themed items on the menu. If it was closer to my home I'd eat there every week. :)

We received great service from Maria's last week. We had the best! He was quick and accurate and the food was terrific and the margaritas are awesome too.

Our server was extremely nice. This was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. All the fresh food was great :) We can't wait to return.

Some of the most California-style Mexican food in the Memphis area. Healthy, large portions and fast service. Not the Americanized Mexican food typically found in the south. Thus the other reviewers likely expected something less ethnic than what they got. Which is not to say that Maria's serves authentic Mexican cuisine. They don't. Not even close to the taquerias of Los Angeles. But what they do serve is more authentic than most available in Memphis and with more options too. A nice bonus is that they have free wifi. They have many big screens and free video games in the bar area. They also have a private room for parties. When I was there today, they were hosting a tween girl birthday party with upwards of 30 people in attendance. My servers have always been friendly though perhaps more bar oriented. But I have noticed from my LA perspective a less diverse crowd than I would expect and I wonder if that has anything to do with the other reviewers' experiences. I doubt it and I hate to think so but I suppose it is possible. Nonetheless, I would try Maria's if you're in the mood for good California Mexican.

Also, if you're up for a challenge, they have a Man vs Food style burrito challenge that must be completed in 45 minutes to get your photo on the wall of fame. Up for it?
