Worst Experience Ever!. A nightmare! Moving day was finally here. I got a call from Discount Movers the night before and early that morning to confirm the time and give them directions. I gave directions to three different people. Well, the move started with them being over 3 hours late. The truck that pulled up was a 17 foot U-haul. I thought the truck was a prank. I lived in a 3BR with a living room and den. A 17foot would hardly move a small 2 BR apartment. The move obviously took more than one trip. I called the owner to let him know the situation, and he informed me he was sending another truck and apologized. I never saw another truck and never heard from the owner again. The move was quoted at roughly 4 1/2 hours, but it took over 8 hours. They also left stuff behind, which my husband had to go back and get in his truck. We ended up calling another person with a truck to help us and the movers. Yes, I also had to move stuff (furniture and boxes). We had to be out of our old house by 12pm, so we had to set the second load in our yard. My husband set outside for over 3 hours guarding our belongings & waiting on movers to return. The movers didn't even know how to get to the interstate and I had to get back out and drive them to it. I live in the city, not the boonies. Movers were incredibly slow, scraping my ceiling several times with furniture. They also broke something but took it with them to fix. I never got my broken item back, which was worth over $50. They put kitchen boxes upstairs in the office. A $500 antique chair was broken, I guess they piled too much stuff on it. We had already disconnected washer and dryer for them, but they cut the permanent hose from the wall leaving damage for the new owners. The move took much longer because they were attempting to stuff as much stuff in the too small of truck as possible. I called the owner for several days and he wouldnt return my call. He finally returned my call when left a message threatening bad reviews. He said numerous things and was the most unprofessional businessman I've ever spoken with. One of the things said, "Well, at least we showed up. You'd be angrier if we never showed up." What! He said he would call me back for some type of resolution, but he never called back and I wasn't reimbursed for anything. It would have been cheaper to go with the most expensive company for it would not have taken someone else over 8 hours, and I would have saved myself and family a lot of stress. I would have saved my husband a serious sunburn as well.

Quickly and Professionally. Discount Movers moved my wife and I to our new home on in February. They were on time and worked very quickly and professionally. They even came in lower than what they quoted us on the phone. I have been in real estate for over ten years, and this is by far the best moving company I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Average service. I've had better moving companies. They came on time but ween't concentrated on their work and ended up forgetting two of the boxes in the house and they had to return to retrieve them. The price was a little higher than average - which only added to the average mark I gave them.

What a pleasure it has been. I just want to express what a pleasure it has been to work with Discount Movers. Every person, is so professional, capable and gracious. Starting from the first call I made to ask about the services, everyone has been so knowledgeable and patient and followed through. The day of moving, every single one of the men on the crew were polite, worked hard and took great care of my belongings. I have felt 100% secure every step of the way. Great movers. The price is excellent. No nasty surprises. What more can you ask for? We will definitely use them again. It definitely showed in our move that Discount Movers proved that they have these special qualities.

Great Rate. I shopped around and they had the best rate around. Plus, they didn't charge me for double driving even though I was moving 70 miles away. I am glad I went with them because I ended up saving a few hundred dollars.

Fantastic. Rob & his crew did a fantastic job. They were very professional. The inventory was detailed. It was raining and the crew was still in a great mood. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The driver handled our driveway great.

Felt Comfortable With Discount Movers. My family and I wanted to say how satisfied we were with the moving service that Discount Movers provided us with. The crew was professional and yet extremely pleasant. They did not know the word 'no'. They worked efficiently and happily. There was no damage done to any of our furniture and we kept our sense of mind.
