An enjoyable dinner!

by Rita B at Citysearch

We ate at Leelavadee for the first time tonight. I was impressed with the dinner, from the appetizers (Leelavadee Toast, Egg Rolls, and Potstickers) to the main courses that we all shared. All of the flavors were magnificent! Some spicy, some sweet, others just plain awesome.

It's a very clean little place, nicely decorated. The waiter was friendly, helpful in menu item selection, and on top of our every need. No formal kid's menu, but son was happy with the chicken satay.

My only gripe would be the cost. Thankfully, we had a Restaurant/com voucher or it would have been something much more pricey than my taste for just a random dinner out. I'm glad we tried it and, should we be able to get more gift certificates at Restaurant/com, we'll be back!

Surprise! Super Tasty Thai in Southaven Strip Mall? Oh YES.

by tastygin at Citysearch

Thai food has some of my favorite flavors. I am always looking for a new place to get my fix and have even traveled to Thailand. I thought Leelavadee was fantastic. I've been several times now. I live in midtown (4 min from a much pricier Thai restaurant on Peabody), and I am happy to make the drive to this place.

I was a little nervous about avocados in the green curry, but OMIGOSH it's so perfect. The green curry with chicken is my favorite dish here. Even the chicken, itself, is really good. I often find meat in a curry to the weak link...not this.

The panaang sauce is great. Love it on the dumplings.

I ordered the calamari on our server's recommendation, and now I'm hooked. There's some extra spice in the breading that makes it a cut above the rest.

Tofu is good--it's not fried. You do have to pick between tofu and "veggies." I'm sure they would make you a dish with both, but be sure to specify.

The Southern Pecan beer is almost worth the drive, all by itself. :-)

I hope you enjoy your visit!
