Sad Mexican. We were seated and given chips and salsa, but no one bothered to take our drink order or even acknowledge us for another 10-15 minutes. I suppose we were expected to eat chips and salsa with not even so much as a cup of water to drink.

The menus were dirty with crushed bits of food in them.

I was served what they called a frozen Margarita. It looked and tasted like lime kool aid and was melted. I sent it back.

The salsa was bland and tasted like ketchup and cilantro.

I ordered fish tacos, and my friend had "burrito de chile colorado". The fish tacos were very mediocre, and the burritos were over salted with very little sauce. To add insult to injury, they would not accept their own coupon from the Entertainment coupon book. Much better and truly authentic Mexican food is widely available in Memphis for better prices.

Poorly Trained Staff & Terrible Management. Three of my friends gathered there early evening to enjoy some cocktails and food (another friend and I arrived later). They ordered the ?Monday Margaritas,? expecting them to be the regular lime-flavored margaritas. The waitress misunderstood and brought them mango flavored margaritas, which I understand aren?t even on the menu. They took a few sips (and I mean only a few ? probably no more than two or three), and realized that the margaritas either were a very unique recipe or weren?t lime margaritas. They informed the waitress, who argued with them that they ordered the mango margaritas. One of my friends requested the manager. The manager would do nothing to resolve the waitress?s mistake. In fact, he said that they drank too much of the drinks! What was the manager going to do ? serve the drinks to someone else after my friends had already tasted them? It was happy hour (2-for-1), so the waitress got the second batch right, but no replacement for the first batch was brought. Many establishments that I patronize would have happily brought replacement drinks without even bothering to take up the incorrect drinks! I?m embarrassed that I raved about this place to my friends. Happy Mexican has lost some good regular customers and struck out with some potential regular customers. Don?t bother with this one.
