Long waits, an ambulance, and no scotch!.
The odor of burnt msg is something I'll never forget. I knew I was in an Asian restaurant the minute I smelled it. The hostess seated me and my family after making us wait 30 minutes. It took her so long to find us an open table during our walk that I felt we were on the Trail of Tears.
Anyhoo, once seated, some Asian guy named Al poured water and rambled on about some special. My kid asked if they had chicken fingers and Al said "No! We have many chicken dish though. You like!". He ran off without me getting a scotch order in. 10 minutes later, some other gook came to the table and said that Al had been fired. We ordered and he left again without me ordering a scotch.
So 30 minutes later, an army of nips throw bowls of rice and food on my table then scurry off. Still no scotch. Finally I yelled to a waiter, "Hey Hop Sing! Bring me a triple McCallan on the rocks!" He bowed and cracked his head open on the marble hostess stand. An ambulance came and carted him away. Still no scotch.
I will NEVER eat at that stinking place again!
first time and last time. I went here for dinner with some friends and it took over two hours for us to get through dinner and finally get the checks and get out. In the bathroom, the sink was constantly clogged up and very unsanitary. The food is definitely not worth how much money you pay for "classyness".The desserts were the smallest I have ever seen and was pathetic I had to pay for it.I will never go again.
This gussied-up chain bustles with singles and families craving Chinese food favorites..
In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.
Yum!. You have to try the Lettuce Wraps! They are awesome! Great service....the food isn't real Chinese but i thought it was good!
Outstandingly Below Average....but it's a CHAIN !.
This place purports to be something special in Asian fare.
It's NOT.
Visit a local Chinese-run establishment if you want Chinese..a suggestion would be The Royal Panda in Germantown or Sakura in Germantown...at least they are family-owned genuine Chinese food....not a place owned under the corporate chain umbrella of Fleming Fine Steak house (that's the 'P. F.' = Paul Fleming in the name....now owned by Outback)
A cocktail is fine there, but move on...
Relaxing experience. Great service. I would suggest arriving before 5pm to avoid the after work crowd.
"P.F. CHUMP's ".....chain Chinese.
This stuff is not Chinese...it's owned by the same folks who own Fleming's Steak house..it you want Chinese, go get true Chinese.
The location is okay, bar is okay, but the quality of product is "controlled chain"..just PASS
whoa ! this is not Chinese. This stuff is "sold" as some kind of "theme Chinese"---lookit it's another darn chain restaurant with standardized bs food
very nice. Bartenders are very good, food is great, atmosphere, one of the best places in Memphis
