Can't raucous groups and romantic pairs just get along? This friendly Italian spot brings the whole crowd together..
The Scene
Brooklyn Bridge's great atmosphere is equally suited for intimate dates and loud family affairs. Table umbrellas and plastic plants lend an outdoorsy, patio-like feel to the front room. Yet the two back rooms are quaint and elegant without being stuffy.
The Food
Soul-warming Italian fare like shrimp sauteed in a rich brandy, Gorgonzola and fresh basil cream sauce is the best way to start. The filetto alla Milanese, tender beef scallopini served in a rich, white-wine cream sauce is to die for. Traditional homemade marinara smothers perfect al dente pasta, as well as robust spinach lasagna and ravioli stuffed with meat or cheese. Veal dishes, fresh seafood and original pizza combinations round off a menu full of hardy selections.
"Brooklyn Bridge is Fallin Down..". Simply and unfortunately, as "impostor".... food tastes like it was mass produced, or in a boil-in bag
best Italian food west of Brooklyn. This place is typical of the little mom and pop places you find all over the northeast, but a rarity here in the midsouth. The owners are always there and they make you feel like part of the family. The food is classic southern italian with a flair of elegance. the protions are generous and the desserts to die for. If you like NY style thin crust pizza theirs is in a class by itself! though not for the budget conscious, for the service and quality of food served the prices are just right.
